Materials:

1 ball Country Cabled Cotton

4.5mm hook (or size to obtain gauge)

tapestry needle

 

 

Stitches/Abbreviations used:

 sc- single crochet

 dc- double crochet

 trc- triple crochet

 slst- slip stitch

 

ch- chain

 

Dcl- double crochet cluster- (starting with one loop on hook) yo, insert hook into space, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook (2 loops on hook), yo, insert hook in space, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook (3 loops on hook), ), yo, insert hook in space, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook (4 loops on hook) yo, pull through all 4 loops.

BegDcl- beginning double crochet cluster- ch3, yo, insert hook into sp, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook (2 loops on hook), yo, insert hook in sp, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook (3 loops on hook), yo, pull through 3 loops on hook)

beg- beginning

 

Gauge:

 approx 4dc= 1”.  Finished cloth should be approximately 7” across.

 

 Directions:

 Ch6.  Join with slst to form a ring.

 Rnd1) BegDcl, [ch2, Dcl] 7x, ch2, slst to BegDcl

 Rnd 2) ch3, **[2dc, ch2, 2dc] in ch2 space** around to last ch2 space, end with [2dc, ch2, dc] in last space, slst to top of beginning ch3

 

Rnd 3) slst in first dc, slst into ch2 space, ch3,  4dc in space, **ch2, 5dc in next ch2 space** around, ch2, slst to top of beg ch3

 

Rnd 4) ch3, 2dc in 3rd dc of the 5dc group in round below, ** ch1, [2dc, ch2, 2dc]in ch2 space, ch1, 3dc in 3rd dc of the 5dc group in round below ** around, end with [2dc, ch2, 2dc] in ch2 space, ch1 slst to top of beg ch3.

 

Rnd 5) ch1, sc in into 2nd dc of 3dc group in round below, ** ch1, 5trc into ch2 space, ch1, sc into 2nd dc of 3dc group in round below ** around, end with 5trc into ch2 space, ch1, slip st to beg sc. 

 

Secure yarn, weave in ends.
